Today, is common define Industrial engineering (Industrial management) as the branch of engineering that deals with the "efficient production of industrial goods as affected by elements such as plant and procedural design, the management of materials and energy, and the integration of workers within the overall system" (From The Free Dictionary). Frederick W. Taylor (1856– 1915) was the great creator of industrial management related in his famous book The principles of scientific management. Understood, in its beginning, as a rigid and bureaucratic model of management, organizations, nowadays, are changing to a more organic and flexible model where employees and organizations can benefit from a growing approach to learning and individual / organizational development.
